Standout Essays

life of a college student is so hectic and very full of different paperworks. every teacher requires the student to pass this and to pass that. all of them will require you to make a reaction paper, a research paper, reflection paper, essays and lots of case studies and thesis especially. and these writings are not easy to do. sometimes we are too blank and too occupied to even begin writing a single line. and honestly, not everyone has the talent in writing. i use to have a classmate who is not good in writing and his assignments were all copied from the internet and almost everything he had it cutomed-made. and what’s wrong is that the writing he paid to do were so good that my teachers hinted that it was not he who made it and just commisioned someone to do it for him. but gladly, having someone write for you nowadays is very easy to do. if you need to make an Essay about New York and everything that’s close to the topic, www.standoutessay.com is the site to go to. they do Intermediate Coursework and everything that you make them do. they employ a lot of professional and very adept writers to do the job for you. they already made 95 Theses that they are very proud of.

Robert Downey Jr. to play Sherlock Holmes

df
Robert Downey Jr., riding high at the box office with "Iron Man," is in final negotiations to play Sherlock Holmes in director Guy Ritchie’s movie about the super sleuth.

The Warner Bros. project, dubbed "Sherlock Holmes," will have to contend with a rival movie at Columbia, a comedy starring Sacha Baron Cohen.

Ritchie’s version takes its cue from a forthcoming comic book that producer Lionel Wigram wrote as a selling tool for a new take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic character. The concept sees Holmes as more adventurous and less stuffy than previous screen incarnations and mines more obscure character traits.

Downey came onto the project via his wife, Susan, who works for one of the film’s producers, Joel Silver. When the actor was in Silver’s Warner-based offices, the producer showed him Ritchie’s version of Holmes, sparking Downey’s interest.

"Sherlock Holmes" will start shooting in the fall; Warner Bros. is eyeing an October 2009 release.

The Columbia project, meanwhile, also has Will Ferrell on board as Holmes’ sidekick Dr. Watson. Judd Apatow is producing, but no director is attached yet.

Bleeding Love

Keep Bleeding by Leona Lewis

Closed off from love
I didn’t need the pain
Once or twice was enough
And it was all in vain
Time starts to pass
Before you know it you’re frozen

Ooooh…

But something happened
For the very first time with you
My heart melted into the ground
Found something true
And everyone’s looking ’round
Thinking I’m going crazy

But I don’t care what they say
I’m in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don’t know the truth
My heart’s crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open

Oooh, oooh…

Trying hard not to hear
But they talk so loud
Their piercing sounds fill my ears
Try to fill me with doubt
Yet I know that the goal
Is to keep me from falling

Hey, yeah!

But nothing’s greater
Than the rush that comes with your embrace
And in this world of loneliness
I see your face
Yet everyone around me
Thinks that I’m going crazy
Maybe, maybe

But I don’t care what they say
I’m in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don’t know the truth
My heart’s crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open

And it’s draining all of me
Oh they find it hard to believe
I’ll be wearing these scars
For everyone to see

I don’t care what they say
I’m in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don’t know the truth
My heart’s crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open and I
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love

Haysbert: Prez role on `24′ may have helped Obama

RENO, Nev. - Dennis Haysbert likes to believe his portrayal as the first African-American U.S. president on Fox’s "24" may have helped pave the way for Barack Obama.

"If anything, my portrayal of David Palmer, I think, may have helped open the eyes of the American people," said the actor, who has contributed $2,300 to the Illinois Democrat’s presidential campaign.

"And I mean the American people from across the board — from the poorest to the richest, every color and creed, every religious base — to prove the possibility there could be an African-American president, a female president, any type of president that puts the people first," he said Tuesday.

Haysbert, who now stars on "The Unit" on CBS, made his comments to reporters during a teleconference call promoting the upcoming American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at Lake Tahoe.

Haysbert, who also played Nelson Mandela in the 2007 film "Goodbye Bafana," said his role as President Palmer seemed to "confuse people" who would approach him on the street "every day, almost every hour, and ask me to run."

"I still, even after three seasons into `The Unit’ playing Sgt. Maj. Jonas Blaine, I’m still asked by people on the street to run," he said.

Haysbert, 54, said he recently stopped for dinner south of Los Angeles with his daughter in Dana Point, Calif., a town he described as "very wealthy, very white and very Republican."

"I go into this little restaurant with that demographic and a lady comes up to me and says, `You know, I want to vote for you,’" he said. "I don’t know if it is a joke or that people just like to say those things. But to me, for them to say it out loud means they are thinking about it."

Click Five Say Goodnight Lyrics

Our seperation has it’s faults
But I don’t wanna leave it all
So write the letters in teary ink
I just need some time to think
And I just need some time to breathe

Baby just say goodnight
I’ll be gone tomorrow
Baby just close your eyes
I can’t take the sorrow
Baby just walk away
You know I can’t stay
There’s no easy way to say goodbye
So baby just say goodnight

We’re in a spell that never ends
The empty hourglass wore me thin
So let the phone do it’s work
Your voice is heaven
But it hurts
Your words are memories
But they burn

Baby just say goodnight
I’ll be gone tomorrow
Baby just close your eyes
I can’t take the sorrow
Baby just walk away
You know I can’t stay
There’s no easy way to say goodbye
So baby just say goodnight

Baby don’t say goodbye
Baby just close your eyes
And dream,tomorrow’s on it’s way
So just walk away

Baby just say goodnight
I’ll be gone tomorrow
Baby just close your eyes
I can’t take the sorrow
Baby just walk away
You know I can’t stay
There’s no easy way to say goodbye
So baby just say goodnight

Baby just say goodnight

Gretchen: Goodbye, Manila!

Whether she’s doing or saying something headline-worthy, or not doing or saying anything at all, Gretchen Barretto makes news - and how!

The latest is the so-called "credit card" incident at a restaurant in Dusit Hotel Nikko in Makati City where, according to reports, Gretchen treated her sister Marjorie, friends Ruffa Gutierrez and Pops Fernandez, and an unidentified friend to dinner one Sunday. When the P4,300 bill came, Gretchen gave the waiter her credit card which was "rejected" when it was swiped in the machine.

Angered, Gretchen reportedly said, "That cannot be; we own the bank." It was a Sunday and there was no way of verifying with the bank (unnamed). Ruffa saved the day by footing the bill.

Did Gretchen tell Tonyboy Cojuangco to rush to the hotel where, still according to the report, they had an argument?

At the presscon last Wednesday introducing Ruffa as the "comebacking" endorser of The Belo Medical Clinic, she explained that, lest she be suspected to have spread the story, she actually kept mum about it, adding that it was no big deal if she paid for the dinner because, after all, the amount was too small compared to what Gretchen has spent for past dinners with friends.

The incident spawned speculations that the relationship between Gretchen and her beloved Tonyboy has been worsening instead of improving.

"It never happened to Ruffa before," said a showbiz-observer, "not even when she and (estranged husband) Yilmaz Bektas were starting to have marital trou-bles - you know, for Ruffa’s credit card to be ‘invalidated’ without her knowledge."

Contacted by Funfare Update for comment, Gretchen simply texted back the following message:

Thank you for your love and friendship. It’s the same old-blown-up story. I’m getting tired living in Manila. My every move is always watched. I will be moving out of this country soon.

No, Gretchen didn’t say where she’s moving to, when and with whom.

Will Daisy run after Danita?

Have you been wondering why it has been all quiet on Daisy Romualdez’s front these past two months?

The reason is that Daisy was in the States, enjoying time away from the messy showbiz scene.

"I stayed with my sisters and relatives," Daisy told Funfare Update yesterday, a few days after she flew back home recharged.

One of her most memorable experiences was meeting California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and having a picture taken with him.

"It happened on a Sunday," related Daisy. "We were attending Mass at Santa Monica and my sister pointed out Schwarzenegger to me. After the Mass, I told my sister that I would approach Schwarzenegger, and I did. I told him, ‘Mr. Governor, I’m from the Philippines and I’m your avid fan; I didn’t tell him that I’m an actress. He smiled and said, ‘Thank you!’ Then, I said, ‘May I have a picture with you?’ He said, ‘Sure!’ And that was it."

Back home, Daisy learned that her prodigal daughter, Danita Paner, is "living-in" with her boyfriend.

"I’m checking if it’s true," said Daisy. "And then I will take the necessary legal action."

Briefly noted

* Back in school at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran where she’s a Masscom scholar, Rebecca Lusterio has many interesting stories to tell what she did last summer back home in Bohol. "I have the best vacation break I ever had," Rebecca told her good friend and fellow Boholano Leo Udtohan. While in Bohol, Rebecca modeled for fashion designer Maximiel Tallo (nephew of former actress Rebecca del Rio) at a Santacruzan. "I felt like a queen," gushed Rebecca whose dream is to star in a teleserye.

* From San Francisco-based Funfare Update contributor Bradford Adkins, this brief report: Charice wowed a big crowd in downtown San Francisco during the Fiesta Filipina celebration two Sundays ago. She sang I Will Always Love You, among other songs, with the same fervor as she did when she guested on Ellen and Oprah, never mind if there was some mix-up in the minus-one, leaving the song unfinished. Instead, Charice sang Ikaw ang Lahat sa Akin, followed by Ako Ay Pilipino. Both songs elicited defeaning applause.
